At Ellemnopy Preschool & Playhouse, we believe that it is imperative to support school-age children in their academic learning, but that school-agers also need to focus on developing skills for life. We created a program that influences children in multiple areas including:  Technology, STEAM, Horseback riding, and Physical Education. (Note all activities are seasonal).

Balancing Academic Learning and Life Skills: This statement underscores the importance of a well-rounded education for school-age children. It recognizes that while academic learning is crucial, children also need to develop practical life skills that will serve them well in the future. This balanced approach prepares them not only for their schoolwork but also for various aspects of life beyond the classroom.

Ellemnopy offers a diverse program that goes beyond traditional academics. Here’s a breakdown of the key areas:

Technology: In today’s digital age, technology skills are essential. Your program likely incorporates technology education, teaching children how to use digital tools and devices responsibly and effectively. This can include computer literacy, coding, and digital creativity.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics): STEAM education encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It integrates multiple disciplines to provide a holistic approach to learning. Your program may involve hands-on STEAM activities, experiments, and projects to stimulate curiosity and innovation.

Horseback Riding: Horseback riding is a unique and physically engaging activity that can help children develop physical coordination, balance, and confidence. It also teaches responsibility and empathy as children care for and interact with horses.

Physical Education: Physical fitness is vital for overall health and well-being. Your program likely includes physical education to encourage an active lifestyle, promote teamwork, and instill healthy habits.

Seasonal Activities: It’s noted that all activities are seasonal. Seasonal activities can add variety to the program and allow children to experience different interests and hobbies throughout the year. This approach keeps the program fresh and aligned with the changing seasons and weather conditions.
